Cough with mucus, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, low-grade fever, fatigue
🔍 Causes
Viral infections (most common), bacterial infections, smoking, air pollution, occupational exposures
💊 Treatment
Rest, fluids, humidified air, cough suppressants, bronchodilators, antibiotics only if bacterial, smoking cessation
📝 Nursing Care
Encourage fluid intake, teach effective coughing techniques, monitor for complications, educate on smoking cessation
