🚨 Symptoms
Progressive shortness of breath, dry cough, fatigue, weight loss, clubbing of fingers, crackles on auscultation
🔍 Causes
Idiopathic, autoimmune diseases, occupational exposures (asbestos, silica), certain medications, radiation, genetics
💊 Treatment
Antifibrotic drugs (pirfenidone, nintedanib), oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, lung transplantation, manage underlying cause
📝 Nursing Care
Monitor respiratory status, oxygen saturation; teach energy conservation; provide emotional support; educate on medication side effects
